Texas House Bill 2819 requires state agencies to develop, procure,
maintain and use electronic and information technology that is accessible
to people with disabilities.
What is meant by "electronic and information
resources?"
Telephones
and other telecommunications products, information kiosks, transaction
machines, Internet websites, multimedia resources, and office equipment,
including copy machines and fax machines
Who is affected by the new law?
All Texas state agencies including
university systems
When did it become law?
