Section 508
What is Section 508?
In August 1998, Section 508 was
added to the 1973 Rehabilitation Act. Section 508 requires the federal government
and all its vendors to ensure that all electronic information technology and
resources, including web sites, are made accessible. The Federal Government now
requires all government vendors to comply with Section 508 as of August
7, 2000.
